Robert E. Howard was an American pulp fiction writer known for his tales of Conan the Barbarian and other sword and sorcery heroes. He created a new subgenre of fantasy through his vivid imagination and prolific output. His stories often explored themes of savagery, civilization, and cosmic horror.
