Arkady And Boris Strugatsky (1925–1991)
Arkady Strugatsky (1925-1991) and Boris Strugatsky (1933-2012) were a prominent Soviet-Russian science fiction writing duo, often considered among the most influential and respected SF authors globally. Their works, frequently critical commentaries on Soviet society through an allegorical lens, explored complex philosophical and ethical questions about humanity, progress, and the nature of power, blending hard science fiction elements with social satire and fantasy. Many of their novels have been adapted into films, most notably "Stalker" (from "Roadside Picnic") directed by Andrei Tarkovsky.
