Alastair Reynolds (1966–)
Alastair Reynolds is a renowned British science fiction author known for his intricate, large-scale space operas, often categorized as "hard science fiction" due to their scientific rigor and adherence to known physics. Before becoming a full-time writer in 2004, he worked for the European Space Agency for over a decade, applying his astrophysical expertise to his imaginative narratives. His works frequently explore themes of posthumanism, transhumanism, and the vast, often indifferent, scales of the cosmos.
